NEW COLLEGE

New College in Bradford is a five-storey high 23,000m2 new build college that will offer roughly fifty different courses, with more A-levels than any other provider in the Bradford region. Ensuring that the curriculum offer matches the needs of Bradford’s young people and its industries is an essential part of the planning process. 

The brick choice needed to sit well against the buff brick of the adjacent imposing police station and have a darker multi properties of the grey cladding and black and grey windows. This was achieved with the choice of a single brick for the whole project, using the Ibstock Ivanhoe Cream facings, the result surpassed the simplistic design due to well blended bricks and great workmanship creating spectacularly imposing and vibrant elevations that also sit sympathetically within the surrounding architecture.
