Phoenix are delighted to secure with our repeat client TORSION GROUP the Drylining package on the 472-bed student accommodation scheme in Leicester. The 57 Rutland Street refurbishment project marks a landmark for Phoenix, being the largest Drylining contract secured to date (£4m), also a significant development for the Leicester City Centre. We have also recently won the load-bearing SFS package, adding a 7th floor of accommodation space.
Works commenced on this 52-week scheme in early July and our team are doing an exceptional job in driving quality workmanship whilst maintaining high standards with site cleanliness and safety.
Built in 1955 as a the grand headquarters of shoe manufacturer, Freeman Hardy & Willis, and subject to significant damage during WW2 bombing raids before post-war reconstruction. But, it was most recently home to the International Hotel and has been empty since 2009."
