Phoenix Brickwork will be working on another great project for Vinci Construction at York Guildhall renovation.
Guildhall is nearly 600 years old (built 1445) and Grade 1 listed, and is currently used for council meetings, but has been mainly empty for some time.
Subcontract value £500,000 and split into 4 visits through 2020. Main Contract value 20 million and will transform the building into office space, conference rooms, café & restaurant.
Our works are new/replacement brickwork (built in hydraulic lime mortar) and blockwork, as well as repairs to existing masonry.
Due to the riverside location of the site, much of the materials will be floated down to site on pontoons and tower craned onto site.
