Here at Phoenix, we are proud of every member of our Team! We are back with our weekly meet the team, to introduce another fantastic member of #teamPhoenix!
This week we have Project Manager Wayne Addison to tell us a bit about himself. Read on to learn more ...
How long have you been at Phoenix for and what do you enjoy about your job?
I started my Phoenix journey in February 2021, so I have been here for just over a year now. What I enjoy most about my job is seeing the end product and seeing my team’s hard work pay off. I also enjoy meeting new people who enjoy what they do.
Describe one of your favourite work memories?
My favourite work memory is being part of the team that built the new café at the top of Snowdonia. It was a unique job to be part of as you don’t often build buildings on the top of a mountain and work in a cloud all day. The materials were flown up by helicopters and the Snowdon Mountain railway, which went at 7mph.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
When I was younger, I wanted to be an electrician before I took up my apprenticeship in bricklaying 29 years ago.
What do you do in your spare time?
I like to spend time with my family and friends, I also go and watch Tottenham a lot for my sins.
Share the best piece of advice that anyone has ever given you?
What you put into life is what you will get out of it.
List three items on your bucket list?
- See Tottenham win the premier league
- Parachuting out of a plane
- Win the lottery
And finally, what does being part of #teamPhoenix mean to you?
Team phoenix to me is like one family, with each and every one of us is always working together to become the best we can be, it doesn’t matter what role you play in the company everybody is equal.
