How long have you been at Phoenix for, and how have you progressed in your time here?
I have been at Phoenix a little over five years. I started as an Office Admin before getting promoted to Assistant Estimator and then promoted again to my current role as an Estimator.
What was your background in the industry before Phoenix?
I graduated from a Secondary Business School but unfortunately never got the chance to graduate from University in Accounting.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I recently got married and have two German Shepherds, so I spend as much time as I can with my husband and dogs.
I also love watching films, reading and a glass of red wine.
What's the best project you've been part of?
I haven't really been involved with any live schemes, however I have priced a few which were awarded to us like Caddington Village.
Do you have any funny stories on-site that you'd like to share?
Nothing I want to repeat!
What would you say to those looking to get into the industry?
Construction was never my first choice and I didn't realise how involved and interesting it can be. If you want to do it then don't overthink it as there are plenty of opportunities around and it really can be a great career path.
